While speaking in the post-match press conference, Afridi heaped praise on Billings and Shafique for setting a perfect platform for their team.

"I didn't feel like we scored a few runs. I have full belief in my batters and bowlers and I expect them to do well in the remaining matches as well. Sam Billings and Abdullah Shafique forged a wonderful partnership but 180 were enough on the board," said Shaheen.

"We will try to give opportunities to the players who have been warming the bench now that we can experiment in a few games.  We are in a good position now and can afford to give chances to the other players.  I would like to thank the Lahore crowd for supporting us," he added.

Rashid was adjudged player of the match for his outstanding bowling performance.

My incredible team and an even better support in Lahore throughout. We are off to Pindi and expecting the same atmosphere there as well. See you all soon. 💚#QalandarHum pic.twitter.com/5j7SsVnti2
