Former Australia cricketer Brad Hogg has compared two of the best Twenty20 leagues in the world, Pakistan Super League (PSL) and Indian Premier League (IPL), and the impact they have had on modern day cricket.
Hogg believes that PSL is more dominant in cricket recently as compared to IPL due to its role in bringing cricket back to Pakistan.
“Both 9 out of 10. The PSL has been the most prevalent of late because it has bought the game back to Pakistan. The IPL has the most interest in viewership worldwide,” said Hogg when asked to rate, both, PSL and IPL by a user on social media website Twitter.
Hogg also stressed on the need for resumption of Indo-Pak cricketing ties purely because of the love and passion these two countries have for the game.
“I think everything should be done to facilitate such a series. It's a game of cricket against two teams who have absolute love and passion for the game. It is the most anticipated event in sport. Over a billion fans would be glued to it,” he said.
Hogg featured in 123 One-Day internationals, 15 T20Is and 7 Test matches for Australia over the course of his career.
