Former cricketer Khalid Wazir, who was the 16th player to represent Pakistan in Test cricket, has passed away at the age of 84 in Chester.
Khalid was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium fast bowler. He played two Tests – both during Pakistan’s historic tour of England in 1954, when Abdul Hafeez Kardar’s Pakistan came back from behind to draw the series 1-1 in the fourth and final Test.

His first-class career stretched 18 matches in which he took 14 wickets and scored 271 runs.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday expressed its sadness at the passing of the former Test cricketer.
