Pakistan captain Babar Azam and Karachi Kings are likely to part ways ahead of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) season eight draft.
The 28-year-old led the franchise in PSL 7 where they finished last and lost eight out of ten games.

Director Wasim Akram was also seen scolding Babar on the field in PSL 7, whereas he also criticized his decisions, including not demoting himself to No.3 while analyzing on a local sports channel during the ongoing T20 World Cup.
Pakistan are having the same problem where openers are playing with a defensive approach and Babar is not ready to change his batting spot.
As per sources, Babar Azam is not interested in playing for the Kings and the franchise may have to decide on a new captain soon.
It must be noted Babar has been part of Karachi Kings since PSL 2 and played an important role in lifting the trophy in 2020.
