How many batters have hit six fours in an over of Test cricket?

England started brilliantly as both the openers were smashing boundaries all over the ground against Pakistan in their first Test at Rawalpindi cricket stadium.

Zak Crawley (122) and Ben Duckett (107) registered a 200-run opening stand against the home side. Thus putting more pressure on the bowling side.

As England lost their three wickets, batters Ollie Pope and Harry Brook stood like a wall and registered another 100-run partnership.

Skipper Babar Azam handed the ball to Saud Shakeel, and Harry Brook smoked six consecutive fours, putting more pressure on the bowlers struggling from the start.

This is not the first time a bowler has conceded six consecutive boundaries in an over.

Here are the instances when batters achieved this unique feat:

  • Sanath Jayasuriya off  James Anderson, Sri Lanka vs England, Kandy 2007
  • Ramnaresh Sarwan off Munaf Patel, West Indies vs India, St. Kitts 2006
  • Chris Gayle off Matthew Hoggard, England vs West Indies, The Oval 2004
  • Harry Brook off Saud Shakeel, England vs Pakistan, Pindi Stadium 2022
