Latif shocks fans with his favorite cricketing memory from this decade

Pakistan’s former wicketkeeper-batsman Rashid Latif shocked cricket fans after an unorthodox response to a tweet from the International Cricket Council (ICC). Latif claimed that his favorite memory of the last decade was the infamous spot-fixing scandal that brought great shame to the entire country.

The incident, which occurred in 2010 during Pakistan’s tour of England, resulted in bans for the trio of batsman Salman Butt along with fast-bowlers Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Asif. Amir was the only player who has returned to the international fold after facing his ban whereas Butt and Asif are playing domestic cricket.

Latif’s reply shocked viewers and fans alike. The spot-fixing scandal brought great shame to the country and its aftermath resulted in the loss of talented players who had many years of their professional lives taken away.
