Sydney Sixers leg-spinner Llyod Pope is thrilled to play alongside Pakistan's Shadab Khan in the ongoing season eleven of Big Bash League (BBL).
The Men in Green spin wizard is currently in Australia and will represent Sixers in the upcoming matches.
Pope,22, currently the leading spinner of the Sixers, is eager to learn from Shadab.
“It’s really exciting for us to add another really experienced international player to our side,” Pope said as quoted by Cricket Australia.
“I had a bit of a chat with him, from two metres away while he had his mask on. It was a bit funny. I’m really looking forward to picking his brain and seeing what he has to offer," he added.
Shadab’s arrival may push Lloyd Pope on the bench, but Pope wants to play at least a couple of games with Shadab.
“It’d be awesome if I get to play a couple of games with him. I’ve watched his stuff for Pakistan and in the Big Bash,” Pope said.
“He’s a really interesting bowler.”
“Who knows, I’m just really excited to see him hopefully take some wickets for the Sixers.”
The Sydney Sixers will face Brisbane Heat next on December 29 at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
