Sri Lanka has surged in the latest ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 rankings following their commanding triumph over Bangladesh in the first Test match on Monday.
Their emphatic 328-run victory propelled them from the bottom of the standings to a joint-sixth position alongside Bangladesh.
This significant win has earned Sri Lanka 12 points in three matches, equating to a points percentage of 33.33. This places them ahead of South Africa, currently at 25 per cent, and England, at the bottom of the table with 17.50 per cent.
Meanwhile, Pakistan has advanced one place to fourth, boasting a points percentage of 36.66. The West Indies, sharing a similar points percentage with Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, have climbed to fifth place with a higher points tally of 16.
