Peshawar Zalmi’s Haider Ali stole the limelight with his breezy innings, 69 runs off 43 balls, against Lahore Qalandars during the ongoing Habib Bank Limited (HBL) Pakistan Super League.
Haider, who smacked four fours and same number of sixes, also became the youngest batsman to score a half-century — which came off just 31 balls — in HBL PSL history aged just 19 years and 160 days.
Zalmi posted 187/7 in their allotted 20 overs with the help of fifties from Haider and Shoaib Malik — who scored 62 runs off 43 balls.
Unfortunately Haider’s record-breaking feat went in vain as Qalandars won the match by five wickets after a thrilling finish to the game.
