Pakistan Super League (PSL) allowances have now become a headache for Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) as, after so many years, the audit report was once again a point of discussion during National Assembly's standing committee on January 5.
According to details, former PCB Chairman Najam Sethi and other top members of the board decided to give allowances to the officials working for PSL.
It was decided to give some percentage of the salary as allowances. Some officials were working for six months while some were working for one month, they were paid allowances according to the amount of work.
But when the reports surfaced in media, allowances were made mandatory along with salaries.
According to sources, if this matter would be put forward to law-enforcement agencies, officials might have to give their allowances back.
