The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) selection committee has decided to send fast bowler Wahab Riaz and middle order batsman Usman Salahuddin back home from the tour of United Arab Emirates (UAE).
According to Daily Express, the duo will take part in the ongoing Quaid-e-Azam Trophy tournament in domestic cricket.
Riaz was part of the playing eleven during the first Test against Australia in Dubai but remained wicketless. He was replaced by debutant Mir Hamza in the second Test match. On the other hand Salahuddin was ignored by the team management for both Test matches.
On the other hand Australia’s Matthew Renshaw, Brendan Doggett and Michael Neser also flew home early for Sheffield Shield duties. Glenn Maxwell and Adam Zampa will act as fielding substitutes during the ongoing second Test in Abu Dhabi.
