England have sought the services of former Pakistan off-spinner Saqlain Mushtaq to help their bowling department in the upcoming International Cricket Council (ICC) 2019 World Cup.
While talking to Daily Express correspondent, Saqlain said that he would leave for London on May30. He is scheduled to stay with the England team for five matches.
The off-spinner stated that his two-year contract had expired, however, he was asked to continue for a few more days.
Saqlain was one of the best off-spinners produced by Pakistan. He received various accolades throughout his illustrious career and continues to serve Pakistan in various capacities.
The off-spinner stated that he still wanted to serve Pakistan cricket and was hopeful of bringing about a positive change.
"My first priority will always be Pakistan cricket. Whenever I receive a call from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) I will be available to help Pakistan Cricket in any capacity that I can," said Saqlain.
The 2019 World Cup is scheduled to start on May 30, with the opening match between hosts England and South Africa.
