Australia’s prolific batsman Steve Smith has broken the record for the most consecutive fifty-plus scores against a singular opponent, previously held by Pakistan’s legendary former batsman Inzamamul Haq.
Inzamam made nine consecutive scores above fifty against England. Smith has now crossed the previous record with ten scores above fifty against England during the ongoing 2019 Ashes series.

Smith crossed the record when he scored a fifty during Australia's first innings of fifth Ashes Test at the Oval.
The right-hander has been in fine form in the ongoing Ashes series, scoring the most amount of runs for either side. His penchant for scoring resulted in Australia retaining the urn after their victory in the fourth Ashes Test at Manchester.
