The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Habib Bank Limited (HBL) Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchises have been at loggerheads on a few issues for several months.
Six months have passed since the fourth edition of the HBLPSL, but the franchises are yet to receive their share from the PSL revenue pool.
The PCB had given an ultimatum to the franchises to submit the bank guarantee for the next edition in 10 days or else the board will be forced to take strict action against them.
However, all the franchises have collectively decided to refrain from submitting the guarantee until they receive their share from the revenue pool.

After the media highlighted the growing discord between the PCB and PSL franchises, the board is now again trying to the ease the tension and address concerns of franchises.
The PCB has scheduled a governing council meeting on September 30 in Karachi, in which the board’s Chairman Ehsan Mani and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Wasim Khan will discuss the reservations with the team owners.
The team owners are concerned with the worsening economy and the continuous fall in the dollar rate and are likely to ask for relief with regards to the bank guarantee.
