Top Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials are listed as members of the Northern Cricket Association, according to Registrar Societies and Joint Stock Companies, which can be considered as a violation of the board’s constitution.
According to Express News, PCB Chief Operating Officer (COO) Salman Naseer and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Wasim Khan are president and vice-president of the association, respectively, which raises questions marks about potential conflict of interest.
In total, around 20 PCB officials are members of the association, which includes Director Media Sami Burney, Director International Cricket Zakir Khan and PSL Head of Players Acquisition and Management Imran Ahmad Khan, among others.

This is a violation of PCB Cricket Association’s Constitution, which states in its clause 12.1-e that members of the association must not be on PCB’s payroll. Meanwhile, clause 12.1-b states that members should be permanent residents of the association inorder to be a part of the setup — which is clearly not the case as far as the aforementioned individuals are concerned.
When PCB was approached on the matter, a spokesperson said that board officials were allowed to act as founding members as far as registration of cricket associations as societies was concerned, while also adding that the new constitution has not been adopted by the Northern Cricket Association so it can’t be termed as a violation.
