Twitter reaction: Pakistan celebrates 28th anniversary of 1992 World Cup win

Pakistan celebrated the 28th anniversary of their improbable 1992 World Cup win on Wednesday. The Imran Khan-led Pakistan side defeated England to lift their maiden world title on March 25 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in Melbourne.

Imran Khan led a team which was down and out during the earlier stages of the tournament and their progression towards the knockout round of the event seemed unlikely.

But Imran's inspirational captaincy turned things around in Pakistan's favour as they went on to bag the elusive trophy.

Fittingly the final wicket of the encounter was taken by Imran Khan himself, which also went on to be the last ball of his illustrious career as he was bound to retire from international cricket after this match.

Twitter users remembered their reactions after the impeccable triumph of the Men in Green over a game England side.
