Bowling consultant Vernon Philander has narrated his time with the Pakistan men's team via a tweet in Urdu after he left for South Africa amid Omicron fears.
Philander, 36, was with the national side for the T20 World Cup and Bangladesh tour (3 T20Is, one Test). He was satisfied with the players' response during his short stint and thanked fans for all the love.
"My last two months with the Pakistan cricket team, which started from Lahore before the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, had been wonderful," Philander wrote.
"During this time all the players gave excellent response and the team management encouraged me a lot. Thank you all for your love," he added.
It must be noted that Philander had to leave Pakistan after the first Test but he flew to his home country yesterday due to the shutdown of flight operations after the emergence of a new Covid-19 variant.
