The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chief Executive Wasim Khan is hopeful that South Africa will visit Pakistan for a Twenty20 International (T20I) series in March next year.
While talking to media in Lahore, Khan reiterated the board’s keenness towards bringing top international teams to Pakistan.
“The revival of international cricket has made good progress. We are working hard to ensure that top international sides start visiting the country soon,” said Khan. “We are in talks with CSA and have got a positive response from them. I hope South Africa will tour Pakistan in March next year.”
South Africa have not visited Pakistan since 2007 but their captain Faf du Plessis led a World XI side to Lahore in September 2017.

Khan also spoke about the response from Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) towards sending their team to play Test series in Pakistan in December, later this year.
“We are waiting for their response on the schedule. After hosting them successfully for the shorter format series, we are looking forward to their arrival in Pakistan for historic Test series,” he said.
The board has also briefed SLC about the security arrangements for the series and is hopeful that it will be able to convince the Islanders for the tour — especially bearing in mind their successful visit during the recently concluded limited-overs series in Karachi and Lahore, respectively.
