Fans were on the edge of their seats on Monday at the Gabba as India star Virat Kohli took a brilliant catch to dismiss Pat Cummins during the T20 World Cup warm-up match against Australia.
Cummins was poised to clear the ropes after Shami bowled a low full-toss with power, but Kohli perfectly timed his jump at long-on and grabbed a one-handed blinder with his right hand.

KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav each scored fifty-seven points to help India defeat Australia at The Gabba in Brisbane. In their opening T20 World Cup warm-up game against Australia on Monday, India managed to pull off a six-run victory, as Shami allayed any doubts about his fitness with a sensational 20th over.
Australia was headed for a comfortable victory with six wickets remaining and only needing 16 runs off the final 12 balls when Shami, Harshal Patel, and fielder Virat Kohli of India turned the game around. After a protracted case of COVID-19, Shami, who hadn't played in a competitive game since July, arrived here to bowl the game's final over and had a significant impact.
He struck yorker after yorker, finishing the over with three wickets and a runout. Jasprit Bumrah was injured, so Shami was added to the team as a replacement. After taking a beating early on, under pressure Harshal Patel delivered in the penultimate over, allowing only five runs in an over that also featured a brilliant run out of a Kohli direct hit.
The star Indian batter also took a stunning one-handed catch at the boundary line to dismiss Pat Cummins. However, there are still issues with India's bowling going into their opening match against Pakistan on October 23.
