Will Shahid Afridi play in HBL PSL 8?

Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi has stated that he would not rule out playing in future seasons of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Afridi, who played for Quetta Gladiators last season but was forced to leave early due to a back injury, said he would consider returning to the PSL if a team were to extend an offer.

"I have no idea where will I go. If a franchise offers, I will surely go along. I will work as it's about Pakistan,” said Afridi.

Since the beginning of the PSL's inaugural season, he has played for four of the league's six teams. The batter responded that the side he enjoyed playing with the most was the right one when he was asked which he preferred.

"I had a really great time with Peshwar Zalmi. We had plans to give an opportunity to young talent, especially from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Secondly, I had fun during my stint with Multan Sultans. A professional team with good owners."

The PSL 8 will be held from 9 February to 19 March 2023.
