30-40 percent deduction in salary or go home, PCB Directors receive ultimatum

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chief Executive Faisal Hasnain has an ultimatum to cut 40% of his monthly salary of around PKR 26 lakhs or go home.

According to details, several other directors are also under a savings campaign since Management Committee took over. Sources said they were formally informed about taking a 30-40% pay cut or going home. They have a week's time to decide, and three months' salary will be given on resignation.

Najam Sethi and Co. have lost their senses after seeing the heavy salaries of PCB officials. They believe if these are not reduced, PCB's treasury will be empty soon.

Chief Executive Faisal Hasnain from UAE is also included in them, there is no scope for CEO in the PCB constitution of 2014, so no position is listed on the website. His monthly salary is 25 lakhs 93 thousand 750 rupees. Faisal has been given the option of a 40 percent cut or resignation. 

Chief Financial Officer Javed Murtaza, who gets Rs 14 lakhs 12 thousand 980 per month, is also at risk; Director High Performance Nadeem Khan's salary is Rs 14 lakhs 72 thousand 500, Director International Cricket Operations. Zakir Khan receives nine lakhs 61 thousand 663 rupees per month.

Director Infrastructure and Real Estate Nasir Hameed 9 lakh while Director Media and Communication Sami Al Hasan Birni gets Rs 13 lakhs 93 thousand 999 per month, and Chief Medical Officer Najeebullah Soomro gets Rs 11 lakhs 77 thousand 500 per month.

All of them were also given the option to cut or go home. Many important changes are possible in the PCB during the next 7 to 10 days, Zakir Khan will retire on April 3 at the age of 60, but he also has three months. Director HR Serena Agha resigned a few days ago, she was given 9 lakhs 85 thousand rupees per month.
