Pakistan’s Test batsman Azhar Ali’s cryptic tweet, after the Men in Green’s win over England on Friday, has led many to believe that it was cheeky dig at former Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar.

Akhtar, recently, had said that Pakistan team lacks stars which is why fans are not encouraged to come and watch them play at the stadium.

After the conclusion of the first T20I, Azhar tweeted “Who did the fans come to watch?” with a picture of a vibrant Pakistan crowd.

Ye fans Kis ko dekhnain aye they??🤔🤔🧐🧐 pic.twitter.com/3DfjFsGFNL

Liam Livingstone smashed the fastest Twenty20 century by an England cricketer in just 42 balls but it was in vain as the home side lost a white ball match for the first time this summer, falling short by 31 runs in Trent Bridge.

Morgan won the toss and chose to bowl first but the move backfired as Pakistan capitalised on the short boundaries, smashing 20 fours and 12 sixes to post 232-6 — their highest total in T20 internationals. In reply, England were bowled out for 201.

The second match of the series will be played on Sunday in Leeds.
