A new cricket will be seen in Multan - Chairman PCB Ramiz Raja

After England defeated the hosts by 74 runs in the opening clash at the Pindi Cricket Stadium, Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Ramiz Raja, promised 'new cricket' in the second Test in Multan.

Pakistan was bowled out for 268 runs in the second innings, resulting victory in favor of the touring side.

Pakistan started the final day on 80-2 as the three lions set them a target of 343 runs, but Ollie Robinson and James Anderson each took four wickets to end the home team's hopes.

Despite England's aggressive and courageous approach in the first Test, Raja is hopeful for Pakistan teams victory in the Test series.

"Pakistan team will compete against England in Multan. A new cricket will be seen in Multan," he said during a ceremony at the Prime Minister's House in Islamabad.

This is England's first overseas assignment since Stokes and McCullum were recruited earlier this year.

The pair won six of their seven Test matches after adopting a new, aggressive strategy, defeating South Africa, New Zealand, and India.

They exceeded expectations by destroying Pakistan's bowling on a flat surface and outclassing them with their deft bowling.

In addition, the former cricketer attributed the new strategy to England coach Brendon McCullum.

"The approach of the England team changed with the arrival of Brendon McCullum. The credit for the English team's win goes to the coach," he added.

The two sides will take on each other in the second Test at the Multan Cricket Stadium from 9-13 December.
