Finch is the sixth batter to reach the landmark of 3000 T20I runs
Australia's T20I captain Aaron Finch, who recently retired from ODI cricket, registered a unique record in the shortest format of the game during the game against England yesterday in Perth.
The 35-year-old reached the landmark of scoring 3000 T20I runs, becoming the sixth batter to do so. Among all, he is the fastest to 3000 runs in terms of ball faced.

Finch took 2078 deliveries, dragging Indian captain Rohit Sharma to the second position as he reached this milestone in 2149 balls.
The previous five players to score 3000 runs start with the Indian batting duo of Rohit Sharma (3737) and Virat Kohli (3712), New Zealand opener Martin Guptill (3497), Pakistan’s successful T20 captain Babar Azam (3140) and lastly the Irishman Paul Stirling (3011).
In terms of balls faced, former Indian captain Virat Kohli achieved the 3000 run mark facing 2169 deliveries; Martin Guptill faced 2203 deliveries. Paul Stirling faced 2226 deliveries to reach this landmark. Babar Azam, who recently achieved this landmark, faced 2317 deliveries in the home series against England.
On the other hand, Finch becomes the second fastest to achieve this landmark in terms of innings. He took 98 innings while Babar Azam and Virat Kohli remain the fastest to score 3000 runs in 81 innings.
