Cricket legend AB de Villiers expects positive changes under Kirsten, predicting Pakistan's strong performance in the upcoming T20 World Cup
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has appointed Gary Kirsten as the head coach of Pakistan men's cricket team in white-ball formats.
South African legend AB de Villiers expresses optimism about Kirsten's appointment, anticipating positive changes in Pakistan cricket.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, De Villiers emphasized the potential transformation, stating, "I just want to say one thing, prepare to see a more polished Pakistan. Prepare to see some players lift themselves to the top. Those who will show themselves on the world stage and take the game to the next level."
Looking ahead to the upcoming T20 World Cup, De Villiers predicted Pakistan's emergence as a formidable force in white-ball cricket.
"Pakistan will emerge as a very competitive team in white-ball cricket. I hope they will be knocking the doors in the knockout stages in the T20 World Cup," he added.
Reflecting on their past collaboration when Kirsten coached South Africa and de Villiers captained the team, de Villiers recalled Kirsten's supportive approach. He reminisced, "I'm not better than you, I'm just here to support you. Whether it's during pressure, good times, or bad times."
