The three-match Test series between Pakistan and England is starting from December 1
Pakistan Test opener Abdullah Shafique is looking forward to facing England at home in the three-match Test series.
The 22-year-old has been phenomenal in his Test career for Pakistan, scoring 736 runs in seven matches at an average of 66.90. He has registered two centuries and four fifties.
“We are eagerly waiting for the series against England. It will be a challenge for us,” Shafique told a local news channel.
“We are a good Test side but just need to work on the small mistakes we make on the field,” he added.
The right-handed batter said that playing in domestic cricket has helped him maintain the same standard as international cricket.
“I’m currently focused on the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy in order to maintain my good form,” he said. “We play quality cricket in our domestic circuit, which is why stepping on the international arena after a long gap won’t be an issue.”
It must be noted that the three-match Test series between Pakistan and England is starting from December 1.
