Former Pakistan cricketer Saleem Malik accused Imad Wasim of intentionally wasting deliveries during the recent T20 World Cup match against India. Malik criticized Wasim's slow batting, suggesting he prioritized boosting his average over taking risks to score.

Malik's comments sparked a reaction from Australian legend Adam Gilchrist, who sarcastically remarked on the accusations.

“A bunch of ex-Pakistan cricketers haven't missed their teams, at all,” Gilchrist said.

“I mean Saleem Malik, of all people...I'm just reading the comments and paraphrasing, and I haven't heard him say, but had I heard him, it wouldn't have been to my benefit because it was in Urdu. He accused Imad (Wasim) of chewing up deliveries on purpose to make it a bit more interesting. Now I don't know if there are other accusations which come with that,” he said with a smile of sarcasm.

It's worth noting that Malik, once a prominent player, was banned for life due to involvement in match-fixing allegations in 2000, with accusations from Australian cricketers Shane Warne, Mark Waugh, and Tim May.
