Afghanistan have announced their 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 in the West Indies and the USA this June, with Rashid Khan as the team's captain.

Nangyal Kharoti, who debuted for Afghanistan against Ireland earlier this year, has earned a place in the squad after an impressive performance, claiming five wickets in three matches with an economy rate of just 5.90.

Furthermore, Mohammad Ishaq, a promising wicketkeeper-batsman who previously represented Afghanistan in the ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cups of 2020 and 2022, has been selected.

Rashid Khan will spearhead the spin department, supported by Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Noor Ahmad, Nangyal Kharoti, and veteran Mohammad Nabi. Meanwhile, the fast-bowling arsenal features Naveen-ul-Haq, Fareed Ahmad, and Fazalhaq Farooq.
