Afghanistan leg-spinner Qais Ahmad is excited to visit Pakistan to represent Quetta Gladiators in the upcoming sixth season of Pakistan Super League (PSL), due to begin from February 20 in Karachi.

While speaking to Cricket Pakistan in an exclusive interview, Ahmad hoped for better relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

“I am very excited for the upcoming PSL season as I will be taking part in the tournament for the first time. I am very happy because I will get to visit and see Pakistan for the first time as well. Plus, I have a lot of friends in the Quetta team, so I will enjoy playing with them,” said Ahmad.

“I want Pakistan and Afghanistan to have better relations in cricket. Our cricket board has also told us to play in Pakistan as there is no issue between the two boards,” he added.

The leg-spinner is keen to represent his country in all formats of the game.

“My first priority is to play for Afghanistan and then play leagues. My dream is to make Afghanistan proud. I am very happy because I was recently named in all three formats for the national team,” he said.
