Afridi hails Lahore Qalandars for nerve-wracking victory in PSL final

Former Pakistan captain, Shahid Afridi, congratulates Shaheen-led Lahore Qalandars for defending their PSL title in the final against Multan Sultans yesterday at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.

Afridi took to Twitter to congratulate Qalandars for their fantastic performance in the eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

"Congratulations to Lahore Qalandars on becoming PSL champions and how they played throughout the tournament," wrote Afridi.

In addition, he also commended the PSL management for putting together an amazing tournament where the matches were nail-biting until the end. 

"Congrats to @thePSLt20 management on putting an amazing tournament and where the matches were nail bitting till the end on most part," he said.

Lahore successfully defended their title, becoming the first team to take the trophy home for the second consecutive time. 

Qalandars beat Multan Sultans by just one run, despite the latter team coming very close to achieving the daunting target of 201 runs.
