Pakistan left-arm pacer Junaid Khan is set to join Khulna Tigers in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) after being overlooked for the upcoming five-match ODI series against South Africa.

The left-armer was dropped for the Men in Green’s upcoming 50-over assignment after chief selector Inzamamul Haq revealed on Wednesday that the 29-year-old needs to work on his fitness before he can make a comeback to the national side.

However, in a surprising turn of events, the pacer is signed up by a BPL franchise Khulna Tigers for the remaining matches of the ongoing competition.

Junaid has played 122 T20s in career, where he has 145 wickets to his name at an average of 21.76 and strike-rate of 18.4.
