Pakistan batsman Ahmed Shehzad took a jab at the Pakistan cricket team following their loss to Ireland in the first T20I on Friday.

This marked Ireland's first-ever victory over Pakistan in T20Is, with their previous encounter dating back to the T20 World Cup in 2009, which Pakistan won.

Shehzad, in a post on his social media account, questioned whether the team was still experimenting with their lineup, referencing Pakistan's recent drawn T20I series against New Zealand. He suggested that the team needed to focus on their strengths rather than constantly testing new players.

“I wanted to ask that were they [Pakistan] checking the bench strength even today. Try your strength sometimes," Shehzad wrote on X.

It is worth noting that Babar Azam attributed the first T20I loss to poor bowling and fielding. Despite a competitive total of 182 runs, Babar acknowledged shortcomings in execution and fielding lapses that contributed to the defeat.

Ireland defeated Pakistan by five wickets, with notable performances from Andy Balbirnie and Harry Tector. The remaining matches in the series are scheduled for May 12th and May 14th.
