Pakistan umpire, Ahsan Raza, who hails from Lahore, will serve as the fourth umpire in the T20 World Cup 2024 semi-final clash between South Africa and Afghanistan on June 27. The match will take place at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium, St Lucia.

The on-field umpire duties will be handled by Richard Illingworth from England and Nitin Menon from India, while Richard Kettleborough from England will serve as the TV umpire. Ahsan Raza, the only Pakistani included in the ICC Elite Panel, is officiating in his third T20 World Cup. 

Raza recently achieved a significant milestone by completing 100 T20 matches as an umpire. He also holds the record for officiating the most matches in the T20 format, marking his prominence in the field of cricket umpiring. His appointment as the fourth umpire in the semi-final underscores his significant contributions and expertise in cricket officiating.
