Australia have revealed its squad for the 2024 T20 World Cup, with notable exclusions like Steve Smith and Jake Fraser-McGurk, while Cameron Green and Ashton Agar secured spots in the 15-player team heading to the Caribbean.

This marks the first time in a decade that Steve Smith has been left out of a men's World Cup squad, highlighting the selectors' strategic choices.

Ashton Agar and Cameron Green stand out as the major beneficiaries of this selection, despite their absence from international T20 cricket for nearly 18 months.

Mitch Marsh, who has been leading the T20I side on an interim basis for the past year, has now been officially appointed as the captain of this experienced squad, aiming for Australia's second men's T20 title in June's tournament.
