Pakistan's white-ball captain, Babar Azam, has reached a significant milestone in T20I cricket during the ongoing fourth match of the series against England.

Babar became the first Pakistan batter to score 4000 runs in T20I cricket, etching his name in the record books of the shorter format.

Most Runs in T20I Cricket:

  • Virat Kohli - 4037 runs (109 innings)
  • Babar Azam - 4023* runs (112 innings)
  • Rohit Sharma - 3974 runs (143 innings)

Babar also becomes the only captain to score 2500 T20I runs. Achieving this feat has distinguished him not only as a top player but also as a leader who consistently contributes to his team's success.

The 29-year-old is not only a dominant force with the bat but also a formidable captain in the shorter format. During the recently concluded three-match T20I series against Ireland, which Pakistan won 2-1, Babar set another record by becoming the most successful T20I captain.

  • Babar Azam: 46 (80 matches)
  • Brian Masaba: 44 (56)
  • Asghar Afghan: 42 (52)
  • Eoin Morgan: 42 (72)
