Babar Azam on Tuesday shed light on Pakistan's batting strategy and overall preparations for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024.

Speaking to the media in Dallas, Babar conveyed confidence in both the batting and bowling units.

"We have come to America with good preparations. Batters have been training indoors while bowlers are training in the field," he said

“If we talk about the strength of the team, I have a great deal of trust over our bowling. Conditions are in favor of fast bowlers,” he continued. “We will try not to repeat our past mistakes. All the senior players will have to step up and take the responsibility,” he added.

Babar also mentioned the flexibility of the batting order, explaining that it could change based on the situation.

"No one's batting number is fixed; it can change according to the situation," he explained.

Despite Saim Ayub's recent challenges, Babar reaffirmed his confidence in the young player, referring to him as a "game changer." He stressed the importance of supporting every player, especially during tough times, to uphold team morale and performance.

He pointed out that players like Shadab Khan, Imad Wasim, and Haris Rauf have previous experience playing in the United States, which could be advantageous. Babar expressed particular confidence in Shadab Khan, praising his versatility and effectiveness in all three aspects of the game.

"I have the most faith in Shadab. He is effective in all three fields of the game," he said, hopeful that the conditions would suit Shadab well,” he added.

Regarding the first match against the USA, Babar acknowledged that the home conditions favored the opposing team but remained confident in Pakistan's ability to perform well.
