It's worth noting that Pakistan secured a historic win against Sri Lanka in the eighth match of the World Cup 2023. The Men in Green surpassed Ireland, setting a new record for the highest-ever run chase in the history of ODI World Cups.
Despite early setbacks with the loss of top-order batters Imam-ul-Haq and Babar Azam, the game-changing partnership between Mohammad Rizwan and World Cup debutant Abdullah Shafique turned the tide in favor of the struggling Pakistan side.
