Pakistan cricket team captain Babar Azam shared his thoughts on the futures of young players Saim Ayub, Azam Khan, and Usman Khan within the national squad. The captain praised the potential and talent of all three players and expressed confidence in their abilities.

Speaking in the post-match presser, Babar spoke highly of Saim Ayub, emphasizing his talent and his ability to change the game in the first six overs. He acknowledged that while Saim has been struggling recently, he believes that the young player just needs one good innings to get back on track.

"Saim is extremely talented. The way he changes the game in the first six overs is commendable. He's struggling but I feel he just needs one innings to get going. Sometimes you need to give some extra time to special talents like him. Hopefully, he will do well in the future," Babar said.

Babar also discussed Usman Khan's progress, acknowledging the challenges the young player is facing. Babar noted that Usman has made every effort to perform well and the kind of intent he showed is a promising sign.

"See, you have to give margin. The thing about the Pakistan team is that there is pressure. I know that Usman has left so many things, so all of that would be in the back of his mind. But he has made every effort. Look, as a player, whenever you make a debut, you try to stabilize your innings after 2 innings, but the kind of intent he showed, which was also required from him. Performing is not in anyone's control. On the day that it is your day, you will perform," Babar said.

On the subject of Azam Khan, Babar highlighted his unique playing style and game-changing abilities.

"We missed Azam a little because he is a different type of player. He is a game changer. You know that when he is standing, he can completely change the game," he concluded.

It is worth noting that Pakistan defeated New Zealand on Saturday to level the five-match Twenty20 International series in Lahore. The series concluded with a 2-2 draw, with Pakistan winning the second and fifth T20Is and New Zealand securing victories in the third and fourth matches. The first match in Rawalpindi was called off due to rain, resulting in no result.
