After going through a tough defeat against India at the crucial start of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 campaign, fans are pretty disappointed with Babar Azam's captaincy and planned strategy against India.

Though it was a tough decision to give Mohammad Nawaz the last over while defending 16 runs, as Pakistan felt confident in winning this match, it was turned around by Virat Kohli as he perished the hopes and won the game for India.

Mohammad Hafeez, former Pakistan T20 captain, was quite unhappy with the skipper's captaincy. He considered this target relatively easy to defend as India lost four wickets in the first ten overs.

Mohammad Hafeez said, "Babar Azam's captaincy is like a sacred cow that cannot be criticized. It's the third consecutive big game that we see flaws in Babar's captaincy, but we keep hearing that by the time he gets to the age of 32, he will learn."

"In yesterday's match, from the 7th over till the 11th over, when India was struggling for even four runs an over, why did Babar not fulfill the spin quota overs in that timeframe." he maintained.

A reminder is that Pakistan lost the opening match of its T20 World Cup campaign against India at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Pakistan scored 159 for the loss of eight wickets while batting first, and India chased down the target on the last ball of the match courtesy of master innings by Virat Kohli.
