Former Pakistan cricketer, Mushtaq Ahmed, has been appointed as the new spin bowling coach of Bangladesh ahead of the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2024.

With a wealth of coaching experience under his belt, including stints with England, West Indies, and Pakistan, Mushtaq is poised to bring invaluable expertise to Bangladesh's spin bowling department.
Expressing his enthusiasm about joining the Bangladesh team, Mushtaq emphasized his eagerness to share his extensive knowledge with the players. He praised the team's potential, describing them as "very coachable" and one of the "most dangerous teams around underscoring their potential for success.
It is worth noting that Mushtaq's illustrious playing career saw him taking 185 wickets in 52 Tests and 161 wickets in 144 ODIs for Pakistan, including a pivotal role in their 1992 World Cup win, adds further credibility to his coaching credentials.
