BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has been hospitalised after testing positive for Covid-19, several Indian media outlets reported.

According to details, the former Indian captain has been admitted to Kolkata's Woodlands Hospital. On Sunday, he had a mild fever and was tested for the virus soon after.

Despite being administered both doses of the vaccine against Covid-19, he returned a positive report, on Monday evening.

The 49-year-old's condition is stable and he was advised by medical experts to avoid isolating himself at home and get admitted to the hospital because of pre-existing health conditions.

Remember, Ganguly underwent angioplasty in January 2021 after complaining of chest pain. He had to undergo another angioplasty later and doctors confirmed afterwards that two stents had been placed.
