The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah has predicted his semi-finalist teams for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, set to be co-hosted by the United States and West Indies.

Shah shared his thoughts on which teams will likely be strong contenders for the tournament. According to him, India, Australia, New Zealand, and the West Indies, the co-hosts, have strong T20 squads and are expected to advance to the semi-finals

“India, Australia, New Zealand and the hosts, West Indies, because they are good in T20,” Shah was quoted as saying by the Times of India.

The tournament will commence on 1 June with co-hosts USA taking on neighbors Canada.

Groups for T20 World Cup 2024

Group A: India, Pakistan, Ireland, Canada, United States

Group B: England, Australia, Namibia, Scotland, Oman

Group C: New Zealand, West Indies, Afghanistan, Uganda, Papua New Guinea

Group D: South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Netherlands, Nepal
