The left-hander claimed that Azam is one of the best batters in Pakistan
Islamabad United batsman, Colin Munro, is surprised that his teammate, Azam Khan, is not part of Pakistan team in white-ball cricket.
Munro's 28-ball 58-run knock, supported by a power-packed 28-ball 44-run inning from Azam Khan, helped Islamabad United triumph over Karachi Kings by four wickets on Thursday in HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 8.
While speaking in the post-match press conference, the left-hander claimed that Azam is one of the best batters in Pakistan.
“Azam is amazing. I don’t know why he is not in the Pakistan team. A lot is spoken about his weight, but if he is one of the best batters in the country, why not get him in there?” questioned Munro.

Azam was elated with his performance and hoped to carry his form for the rest of the tournament.
“I was in form in Bangladesh Premier League, so I was just trying to carry that form for the team. We always play aggressive brand of cricket in Islamabad and that has been our strength,” Azam said.
