"England know Pakistan bowlers are not like India," says Shoaib Akhtar

The final of the T20 World Cup between Pakistan and England will be played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) today.

While the Men in Green defeated New Zealand in the first semi-final at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) to advance to the final, the three lions defeated India by ten wickets to take second place.

Former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar said ahead of the highly anticipated final that England understands that, unlike the semi-final, the final will not be a walk in the park because they will be facing the Pakistan bowling attack rather than India's.

Since the Indian cricket team's semi-final loss to England, Akhtar has been mocking them. The Rawalpindi Express found a way to mock the Indian team even before the England vs. Pakistan final.

"The difference (in the final compared to the semi-final) is that England is in a comprehensive position; their confidence will be sky-rocketing. England knows Pakistan bowlers are not like India. They will have to work hard to win; they won't get a walkover," Akhtar said in a video on his YouTube channel.

Akhtar said on Pakistan's chances against England:  "A lot depends on Babar and Rizwan. Their strike rate against New Zealand was significant. The wicket in Melbourne would allow them to maintain a similar strike rate."

England openers Jos Buttler and Alex Hales were on fire in the semi-finals against India, scoring unbeaten 80 and 86 runs, respectively. They'd like to keep the momentum going in the championship game. However, with the threat of rain looming, the conditions are bound to become more complex.

Pakistan's morale will also be high, having easily defeated New Zealand in the first semi-final on Wednesday. Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan have regained lost form and would like to keep it up.
