The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed that Pakistan players will not be allowed to bring their families along on the tour to England.

During previous foreign tours, players’ families used to accompany the squad. However, due to the ‘bio-secure’ conditions in which the entire tour will be held, players will not be able to interact with their families even if they travel separately to England.

Middle-order batsman Haris Sohail’s wife was also not allowed to accompany him, which turned out to be one of the reasons behind him opting out of the tour.

It must be noted that during Pakistan tour to New Zealand in 2015, Sohail claimed to have an infamous encounter with a ghost. Since then, he was allowed to have his wife accompany him on every foreign tour as he was scared to travel alone.

Pakistan is scheduled to take on England in three Tests and three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is), which will be played in August-September.
