The Lahore Qalandars opener Fakhar Zaman has broken the record for most runs scored in a single edition of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL).
The record was previously held by Babar Azam last season where the Pakistan skipper scored 554 runs.
Fakhar has broken the record and currently has 584 runs to his name with at least one more game to play (two if Qalandars win the Eliminator 2 and proceed to the final).
While chasing a 164-run target against Multan Sultans, Fakhar Zaman smashed 63 from 45 deliveries which included two boundaries and four sixes.
His inning helped him surpass Babar Azam's record and make him the highest run-scorer in the history of HBL PSL.
It is worth mentioning that Multan Sultans captain Mohammad Rizwan currently ranks third in the list as he has 532 runs this PSL with one additional game on the cards.
In addition to this, Fakhar also broke the record for scoring 50+ runs in eight innings of a single tournament edition.
