Pakistan cricket team's fierce opener Fakhar Zaman suffered a thumb injury during the Match 12 of the ongoing National T20 Cup.

Chasing 151 against in-form Sindh, Fakhar opened the innings for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and made a blistering start to the innings. He played a match-winning knock of 49 runs from 32 deliveries, which included 4 fours and 4 sixes.

While receiving the Man of the Match for his splendid innings, Fakhar came to recieve an award with a bandage on his left thumb.

It was later revealed that Fakhar was hit on hand after he faced a bouncer from Mohammad Hasnain. Following the completion of the match, the physios advised him to take a rest otherwise the injury might not heal in time.

Fakhar has been advised a 5-day rest and will be out for the next two games for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

This is a huge blow for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa but Fakhar's fitness is extremely important especially with the 2021 ICC T20 World Cup right around the corner.
