The matter was resolved after Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi intervened and raised the issue with authorities in Abu Dhabi
The remaining matches of the sixth edition of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) season six, after being suspended halfway due to multiple Covid-19 cases among players and officials in March, will now be held in Abu Dhabi.
According to sources, the matter was resolved after Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi intervened and raised the issue with authorities in Abu Dhabi.
Players, along with television production crew from India and South Africa, have been allowed to travel to UAE via chartered flights, according to the details. It was agreed, however, that the flight will land in a different city.
The development comes after the PCB held an emergency meeting of franchise owners to decide on the issues faced by the body.
More than 200 players, support staff match and PCB staffers landed in Abu Dhabi on Thursday, from Karachi and Lahore, and began there isolation on the same day.
