In preparation for the ICC Champions Trophy, Gaddafi Stadium has undergone a remarkable transformation in less than three months. The grey structure of the stadium is now 100% complete, and finishing work is progressing rapidly. The revamped stadium boasts a seating capacity of over 34,000, with significant upgrades throughout.

Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mohsin Naqvi, conducted a detailed inspection of the ongoing construction work at the stadium. He visited all floors of the main building and even climbed to the top rows of the general enclosures to assess the ground view, praising the excellent visibility from these sections.

During his visit, Naqvi interacted with workers, commended their efforts, and expressed satisfaction with the project's pace. "Despite the severe cold and fog, the project is moving forward at a remarkable speed," he remarked. "A completely new stadium with modern facilities will be ready before the Champions Trophy."

Modern lighting installation at the stadium is in its final stages, and work on installing new scoreboards on both sides is also underway.

The project director from the Frontier Works Organization (FWO) briefed Mohsin Naqvi on the progress of the development. PCB Chief Operating Officer Sameer Ahmed, Advisors Aamir Mir, Director Infrastructure, Director Domestic Cricket, and officials from NESPAK and FWO were also present during the visit.
