Shadab has demonstrated his batting prowess in the ongoing season of PSL 9 by amassing 278 runs in nine innings at an impressive strike rate of 145.54, including three half-centuries
Former Pakistan captain Mohammad Hafeez has recommended a strategic shift in utilizing Shadab Khan as a batting all-rounder to address Pakistan's concerns in the middle order.
Shadab has demonstrated his batting prowess in the ongoing season of PSL 9 by amassing 278 runs in nine innings at an impressive strike rate of 145.54, including three half-centuries.
Hafeez, speaking on a local sports channel, highlighted Shadab's batting abilities, which can help in solving Pakistan’s middle-order woes.
"Shadab stands as the sole hope and we need to boost his confidence as he possesses batting abilities."
"We should utilise him as a batting all-rounder rather than primarily a bowling all-rounder," he added.
He pointed out the scarcity of middle-order performers in PSL, aside from Iftikhar Ahmed, and believes Shadab could be the solution to this problem.
"Pakistan still has a problem in middle-order. Currently, the players performing in PSL are either openers or at No.3," he concluded.
